Who we are

Nik Stanbury BA (Hons) Phd trained as a designer silversmith in London. He gained a Phd from the Victoria and Albert Museum for his study into Japanese Shakudo and Shibuichi Alloys. He has undertaken a number of high profile commisions and research studies for clients including the Swedish Royal Academy of Music, Schaffer Pens and the Victoria and Albert Museum. His work is represented in a number of public and private collections and he has exhibited both nationally and internationally. Nik is the Founder and Principal of York School of Jewellery.

Naomi Holman

Naomi Holman BA (Hons) MSc gained a BA (Hons) in Social Policy from the University of York. She then continued her studies with an MSc in Health Services Research. Naomi currently works for the NHS leading a programme of work on diabetes. This involves analysing exisiting data for clinicians and professionals planning diabetes services. She is actively involved in researching the epidemiology of diabetes and developing new approaches to collecting and analysing data on diabetes and health services. Naomi has also trained as a jeweller for some years. She currently is a tutor at York School of Jewellery and has her own jewellery business.
